Where Rural Brock sits
Rural Brock is the countryside that makes up most of the township: everything outside the village limits of Beaverton, Cannington and Sunderland, from the Scugog and Uxbridge lines on the south to the Talbot River and the Ramara boundary on the north, and from the York-Durham line and the Lake Simcoe shore on the west to the Kawartha Lakes boundary on the east. Inside that frame are the hamlets of Manilla, Wilfrid, Vroomanton, Gamebridge, Sonya, Wick and Vallentyne, the cottages at Cedar Beach and on Thorah Island, and the concession farms between them. Where a village ends and Rural Brock begins is a TRREB mapping choice, so a property on the edge of Beaverton or Cannington may be listed under either name.
