Villages, lake and concessions
A village house in Cannington or Sunderland is the simplest purchase in the township: municipal services, a survey, a walkable main street and a school within the village. Beaverton adds the harbour and the older shoreline streets, where the same house can be on services or on a well depending on the block. Lakeside properties trade on frontage, exposure and dock depth, and the winter road agreement matters as much as the kitchen. Farmhouses need a farm buyer's eye: the barn's structure, the water supply to it, tile drainage, any Ontario Wildlife Damage or land-lease arrangements and whether the fields are rented out. Custom homes on acreage are judged on the well, the septic bed, the hydro service and the internet, which varies road by road across Brock.
