Detached four-bedroom houses, village by village
Beaverton's are mostly in the subdivisions south of the old grid, two-storey brick fronts from the two-thousands with double garages and finished basements, plus a handful of bigger houses on the lake side where a four-bedroom home was rebuilt on a cottage lot. Cannington's newer east-side streets carry a similar plan, and its Victorian core has the tall century houses with a fourth room under the roof. Sunderland offers the fewest, mostly older houses near River Street and a small number of newer builds on the village edge. The concessions supply the rest: farmhouses whose four or five bedrooms line a centre hall near Sunderland, Wilfrid, Manilla and Vroomanton, and eighties raised bungalows on severed lots that reach four by finishing the lower level. Custom houses from the last two decades sit on rural lots near the lake plain and toward Gamebridge.
